Rich Maguire of Maguire Cardona, P.C., Attorneys at Law prevailed again at a recent trial in Franklin County Supreme Court in Malone. Unusual and highly complex issues of medicine in the personal injury action involved Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, an incredibly rare condition that occurs in fewer than one in a million. In one of the only such cases ever tried in New York State Supreme Court, the Maguire Cardona clients prevailed. Extensive expert testimony, which included lengthy and difficult cross-examinations, involved the specialties of Infectious Disease, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Nursing. After a two (2) week jury trial, the unanimous verdict was returned in favor of the Maguire Cardona clients.
