Richard Maguire, Esq. recently volunteered his time as a Judge for the Octofinal round of the Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition at Albany Law School on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
As part of the Gabrielli Competition, second year law students at Albany Law School prepare detailed appellate briefs, which include an analysis of statutes and case law to support their position. The students then have the opportunity to present oral argument before a panel of judges.
The competitors’ legal writing and oral advocacy skills were impressive and will surely be useful in their future practice of the law.
