Richard Maguire, Esq. has served as an attorney coach for the Siena College Mock Trial Team for several years. In February, 2018, Mr. Maguire will travel with eleven (11) highly qualified and motivated Siena students to Yale University to compete in the regional competition hosted by the American Mock Trial Association. As an attorney advisor, Mr. Maguire teaches the Siena students not only the practical skills of trying a case, but also the important ethical considerations required of trial lawyers.
The team has practiced for months and has learned the valuable skills of conducting arguments before a trial judge, opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, introducing exhibits into evidence, and summations.
As a 1986 graduate of Siena College, Mr. Maguire is proud to volunteer his time to give back to the next generation of young trial lawyers.
